I’m very excited to reveal the cover of my soon-to-be released book, Choosing You. This is book one in The Jade Series, a New Adult romance series that follows a couple through their first year of college. As we see their relationship grow and develop there is an ongoing conflict that adds some interesting twists and turns to the story. This is a four book series and all the books are written but in different stages of editing. So you won’t have to wait long for all four books to come out!
You’ll see from the cover that I’m using a pen name for this series. I’m doing that in order to keep my romance books separate from my nonfiction diet books and cookbooks.
The cover designer for this book was Sarah Hansen of Okay Creations. She arranged to have a photo shoot done so that this same couple will appear on all four books.
I plan to publish Choosing You the week of September 22 but for now, you can add it to your Goodreads list. The description is below and I’ll also be posting excerpts in next the weeks leading up to the book’s release.
CHOOSING YOU (Jade, book 1)
There are consequences to breaking the rules…
When Jade is given a scholarship to an elite private college in Connecticut, she sees it as a chance to finally escape her painful past and get a fresh start. She’s determined to succeed and that means keeping her focus on school and not guys. But her self-proclaimed promise to not get involved in a relationship falls apart her first day on campus when Garret, a rich prep school boy with swimmer abs and a perfect smile, offers to help her move in.
As Jade and Garret grow closer, she soon realizes that a relationship with Garret may never be possible. He comes from a world of wealth where there are rules, including rules about who he can date. And not following those rules has consequences.
While trying to overcome the obstacles working to keep them apart, Jade is confronted with another challenge. On her 19th birthday, she receives a letter that her now deceased mother wrote years ago. In it are revelations that explain her traumatic childhood but also make her question the past she’s been trying to escape.
