I was cleaning my desk the other day and came across these notes I made for Choosing You. I don’t do outlines for my books, but I do jot down some ideas before I start writing, usually just a page, like I’ve done here.

Looking at this again, I noticed that all of these things ended up in the final book. Garret taking Jade out for her birthday, the giant bean bag chair in his room, Jade waiting a few weeks to open her mom’s letter, Jade’s and Garret’s journals (which I called “private writing” in my notes). I even wrote down “hug practicing.” Funny to see this again! I didn’t even know I still had it.
