The Geek and the Goddess

Once upon a time a guy showed up at my high school.

He was new in town and kind of a nerd, but a cute nerd.

He was also funny. And rich.

The rich part made him instantly popular.

I assumed he'd avoid me after he saw how people treated me. The teasing. The nicknames. Just being seen with me could ruin his reputation.

So when he asked me out, I thought he was joking.

Turns out he wasn't.

I agreed to go on one date, thinking it wouldn't go anywhere.

But then it did.

That’s how our story began.

How it ended… is not at all what I expected.
