Now Available: GARRET

Garret CoverThe GARRET book is now available. This is a Jade Series Companion novel and is not part of the regular series. The book developed out of some bonus scenes I wrote last winter from Garret’s point of view. I didn’t plan to make those scenes into a book but then I wrote some more and long story short, it ended up being a book. And I decided to release it on the anniversary of Choosing You’s release last year. Here’s some more info about GARRET.

-The GARRET book is Garret’s point of view from Choosing You (Jade #1). It does not include scenes from the other books.

-GARRET has a lot of new scenes, so as you’re reading, you may be thinking ‘I don’t remember this scene from Choosing You’ and if so, it’s probably one of the new scenes.

-Although a lot of the new scenes take place when Jade isn’t around, there are some scenes that include Jade that she didn’t talk about in Choosing You. For example, she didn’t tell you everything that happened when Garret took her out on her birthday, but Garret does.

-The scenes from Choosing You that include both Jade and Garret reappear in GARRET, but now you’re reading them from Garret’s point of view. He has a lot more to say than Jade, so his thoughts, along with the new scenes, are what made this book so long.

-This is the longest of the Jade books thus far. It’s significantly longer than Choosing You.

-There are a few flashback scenes from when Garret was younger. And he tells us a little more about his mom.

-You’ll also see the challenges Garret has with his friends and family and how he deals with those challenges when Jade’s not around.

-GARRET starts and ends where Choosing You started and ended, but since we’re not reading Jade’s side of things, the scenes are different. Remember at the end of Choosing You when Jade got that phone call? When that happened, Garret had left with his dad, so the ending reflects that.

-Overall, I feel like the GARRET book proves once again that Jade and Garret were meant to be together. They each have their individual struggles and they needed each other to get through those struggles. In a way, they saved each other from themselves and the destructive habits that were holding both of them back. To me, seeing Garret’s side of things in this early part of their relationship makes their love story even stronger.

  • I’ve already finished the book and would love to see all the books from Garret’s point of view for sure, it was awesome to be able to go back and feel the same things I felt in the first books, knowing they make it, but still getting the heartbreak and the pain was cool!

  • I agree! I loved rereading it from Garret’s point of view and would love to reread all of them through his pov.
